Friendship Village Support Group
This ongoing support group is open to Friendship Village residents, as well as anyone in the community who is grieving the death of a loved one; regardless of whether their loved one was on a hospice program. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required, however, community members who are interested in attending are encouraged to contact Nathan Schutt at (319) 272-2002.
When: Fourth Thursday of each month, 10-11 a.m.

Cedar Valley Hospice Social Support
Hospice Social Support programs are offered twice a month (except during colder months where they occur just once a month), at varying locations in the Cedar Valley. Expense is the cost of your meal, and/or the special activity. For more information on Hospice Social Support or to place your reservation, please call one of the volunteer facilitators: Pat, 291-3076 or Diana, 230-0218. Other HSS Volunteers are: Becky, Mary, and Norma, 269-3770 (makes phone calls for Diana).

We will try our best to give you a personal call to see if you will be attending our events. This is most important when we are having a catered event. The planning committee will try calling you once or twice. They will leave a message, but if they unable to do that, it will be your responsibility to let them know if you are coming. Please be understanding that we will try our best to reach you all because you matter to us.

Parkersburg Grief Support Group
Cedar Valley Hospice is holding a grief support group open to anyone living in the Parkersburg area. This is an ongoing support group for anyone coping with the death of a loved one. The group is co-facilitated with Jo Schipper from Parkersburg and Cheryl Elsbury - Reiher, Cedar Valley Hospice Grief Counselor. This group begins each meeting with a potluck.
When: Second Thursday of each month, Begins with a potluck at 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Where: Hope Reformed Church - Parkersburg, 611 4th St. Map

Widow/Widowers Support Group
Cedar Valley Hospice is holding a grief support group open to anyone living in the Independence area. This support group is for widows/widowers and is facilitated by a Cedar Valley Hospice Social Worker
When: First Thursday of each month, 10 a.m.
