April is Volunteer Appreciation Month!

April is a special month for Cedar Valley Hospice. It is when we have special events in all of our site communities to honor the nearly 400 volunteers that dedicate their time and talents to help our organization thrive. Although those events had to be cancelled, it’s important that we recognize their service and let them know that their service this past year is greatly appreciated!

Cedar Valley Hospice is only as strong as our volunteers, and we are very STRONG!  Whether our volunteers serve on a board or committee, bake cookies, sew wonderful quilts, visit our patients and families or help with fundraising, their efforts do not go unnoticed. The support and talents they provide are an amazing gift to all those we serve.

We also understand this time may be a difficult time for our volunteers because they want to continue to help. However, their safety and the safety of our patients is very important to us. Meanwhile, we hope that they, as well as those in our community, keep advocating for Cedar Valley Hospice and letting people know we are maintaining our mission during this pandemic: To enrich lives with knowledge, respect and compassionate care.

As soon as we are able to resume our volunteer activities again, we will contact our volunteers. So, until we can tell them in person, we THANK them for all they do for Cedar Valley Hospice. Their time is very priceless, and we couldn’t do it without them!
