In response to the most recent recommendation by CDC regarding mass gatherings – the Emerald City Nights There’s No Place Like Cedar Valley Hospice event scheduled for Friday, April 17th has been cancelled. The health and well-being of our patients and families, clients, volunteers, staff members and community supporters is of utmost importance to Cedar Valley Hospice. We are working on a plan to refund any money sent in for this event and will be in touch as needed with donors.

Cedar Valley Hospice is taking the quickly changing COVID-19 virus pandemic situation very seriously. As an organization we are following CDC (Center for Disease Control) guidelines to protect all involved and are taking an active commonsense approach to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by following prudent infection prevention strategies.

Mark your calendars for Friday night, April 17 starting at 6 p.m. This Wizard of Oz themed event will blow into the new Bien VenU Event Center in Cedar Falls like a cyclone bringing along all of your favorite event offerings: appetizers, drinks, silent auction, raffle, dinner and program! 


We’ll also have music throughout the night by The Wicked Andersons, a local band favorite. The end of the evening is set aside for dancing and socializing with other attendees. We’re also excited to offer a new lower seat price to make it possible for more guests to have the opportunity to enjoy the experience and support the patients and families served by Cedar Valley Hospice. 

Mobile bidding will be featured again this year which allows guests, as well as others not in attendance, the opportunity to bid on dozens of awesome silent auction items from local, regional and national donors. 

Watch for information on Facebook about how you can be a part of the bidding, even if you can’t attend.  

Reservations can be made by mailing back the form on the following page or by visiting our website at cvhospice.org. Seats cost $65 each and payment must accompany all reservations. Please make plans, and RSVP by Monday, April 6. Funds raised at this event allow us to fulfill our mission of enriching lives with knowledge, respect and compassionate care.
