Cedar Valley Hospice offers expert care and grief support

Why call us?

When you have a serious illness, having a conversation about healthcare options is difficult. However, you don't have to take the journey alone. It's never too soon to call Cedar Valley Hospice to talk with our team of experts about managing your symptoms, treatment options or general questions about your diagnosis.

Accepting hospice or palliative care does not mean you are giving up. By having an extra set of eyes devoted to your care and an awesome support system by your side, you’ll be able to focus on Making Each Moment Matter.

Hospice vs. Palliative Care for those with a serious illness

Hospice isn’t about dying, but about living as fully as possible despite a life-limiting illness. Many people only consider hospice care in the final days of life, but hospice is ideally suited to care for patients and family caregivers for the final 6 months of life. Palliative care is available to people earlier in the course of a serious illness and can be provided along with other treatments they may still be receiving from their doctor.

The best time to learn about hospice and/or palliative care (for those not quite ready for hospice) is before you are faced with a medical crisis. One of the most frequent comments we hear from families we’ve served is: “We wish we would have called sooner?”
